Please join the National Health Care for the Homeless Council and Vanderbilt School of Medicine on November 10-11, 2011 at the Sheraton Airport Hotel in Albuquerque, NM, for a free regional training featuring Health Care for the Homeless experts from around the country.
This training is tailored for clinicians, administrators, students and advocates of homeless health care services and will feature these ACCME accredited courses:
• Health Reform: The Nuts and Bolts of Understanding, Planning and Thriving
• Building Bridges with Law Enforcement: Understanding Homelessness
• Forming and Maintaining a Consumer Advisory Board
• Evidence-Based Outreach Guidelines and Strategies from CHC's Serving Farmworkers:
Peer-to-Peer Strategies the Work
• Recommendations for Treatment of Infectious Diseases and STD Testing
• HIV in Primary Care: Stages of Integration
• Trauma-Informed Care
• Building a Better Home: Transformation to Patient Centered Medical Home
• Integration of Service and Advocacy
• Medical Respite Care
• Providing Health Care for Homeless Persons through Leadership and Collaborations
• *An Orientation to Migrant Health
• *Farmworker Eligibility and Verification: You Are Serving Them. Are You Counting Them?
*Through a special collaboration with the National Center for Farmworker Health, we are able to provide registration for workshops marked with an asterisk at the 21st Annual Midwest Stream Farmworker Health Forum. These workshops will occur off-site during the training. The Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel will provide a shuttle service to these locations.
