This three (3) hour introduction to Motivational Interviewing (MI) is being led by Dr. Robert Rhode, MINT certified trainer of MI. Participants will be able to give examples of
- How MI has been used effectively by health care professionals in medical settings;
- Explain how three components of Motivational Interviewing "MI Spirit" can be used to solicit client motivation; and
- Compare and contract the traditional model of communicating with patients vs. Motivational Interviewing.
