Forensic Peer Support Course

The Forensic Peer Support Course is designed to prepare recovery/peer specialists to provide peer support to individuals who are involved with the criminal justice system and also live with mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders. In this course students will learn about and have the opportunity topractice the advanced skills necessary to support individuals intersecting with the criminal justice system at Intercepts 2 (initial detention, first court appearance) and 3 (mental health court, other problem-solving specialty court).
