The Center for Applied Behavioral Health Policy at Arizona State University’s Downtown campus will be hosting First Fridays beginning Feb. 2, 2018.
The premiere exhibit will showcase art both visually and hands-on, as the Center will provide a Virtual Reality headset experience, art from the [Ink]arcerated Artists program, and pieces from local artist David Coven.
Both the Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR headsets will be available, allowing guests to travel to National Parks, the Mexican Rainforest and historic treasures. The virtual experience will be enhanced with high-quality headphones to provide a more thorough experience.
The Center collaborated with the [Ink]arcerated Artists program to display pieces created by local inmates. The program serves a dual purpose, providing an outlet for the inmates to express themselves and raising awareness about providing programs in prison.
The exhibit will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Concho Room at the Westward Ho, located on the northwest corner of Central Ave. and Fillmore.
